Description

Long Lake is located with the Brainard Lake Recreation Area in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. A hike to Long Lake is a great way to restart hiking after a long break. If you can, be sure to go on a week day as there will be fewer people! There is also a nice campground nearby and several trails of different grades and difficulties heading out from the lake. Dip your feet in the water to finish.

Short Hike: The lake can be accessed by one mile of easy hiking and there is a loop around the lake that makes for a nice hike option.

Family Friendly: The trail to the lake is not difficult.
